Hurricane (10 mins)
Goals of activity:Moving around to get the class started and create an open and relaxed atmosphere.
Activity guidelines:
Step 1:
Everybody sits in a circle. The teacher stands in the middle.
Step 2:
Calls out a characteristic and claps your hands. The students with that characteristic must stand up and run to another chair.
For example: Everybody with brown shoes.
When you say 'hurricane', everybody has to change chairs.
tip:
You can bring in a competition-element by taking away a chair in each round. The student without a chair falls off. The last student sitting has won.
