Activity guidelines
Introduction:
We are going to take a basic form, the circle and all make different faces starting with the same circle.
Step 1:
Decide if you will work on the computer or paper.
Step 2:
If you are going to work on the computer, have each student open the worksheet and begin to make a self portrait of their own face using the circle. They can add shapes, symbols, colors, etc. See the example for ideas.

Step 2b:
If you are working on paper, have each students draw a big circle on the pager, covering most of the page. It is important that everyone used the same starting circle to work on.
Then students will do the same as on the computer, fill in the circle to become a self portrait, They can use any color, shape or symbol they wish.

Step 3:
Get as many student as possible to show their work to the group.
Step 4:
Make the point that just as each portrait is different although we started with the same circle, just so are all the diverse people of Nigeria and indeed the world different but basically the same.
Tips
It is important that no one laughs at another's art work, as they are personal and all variations are good.
